From my previous events
Forward Summit East - Rama First Nation, ON
Mallory was an excellent speaker and moderator for such a highly influential group of Indigenous leaders. I look forward to seeing what’s to come, hearing more of her experiences, training and community stories in the future.
~ Community Healing and Economic Development
Anishinabek Nation Conference - Toronto, ON
Mallory’s keynote was filled with authenticity and ease. The group of Band Representatives from 28 First Nations across Ontario required a highly engaging facilitator to bring them out of their shells and participate on personal subject matter. I appreciate Mallory’s vulnerability and sincerity in her approach to sharing her story, and genuine nature to help others on their journey.
~ Self-Care for Frontline Workers using Medicine Wheel Teachings
Best Buy Canada - Virtual, North America
To deliver an educational session on MMIW with a positive and empowering approach is no easy task, but Mallory was able to educate, inspire, and enlighten our Women's Resource network, and Indigenous resource group at BestBuy. From the personal stories, to concepts and connectivity between Indigenous Matriarchy and the MMIW crisis brought new insights to our team. Her approach to such a traumatic topic through carefully thought out analysis provided us with strategies to make sense of how conflicting cultures, and societal dynamics can cause extreme conflict in the way that it has. This talk taught us that there is so much good that can come from prioritizing education, historical understanding, and combining cultural and community contexts in all situations.

From my workshops
Building Trust with Indigenous Leaders in Corporate Reconciliation
The information that was shared was critical learning and validated some of the thinking that I/the team have been doing as we work to engage with our local Indigenous communities. The key is the 'trust deficit' acknowledging it and knowing that it will take time to build credibility. Mallory was knowledgeable, personable and their style helped with the learning; the story sharing was also so fantastic!
Utilizing Diversity and Cross-Cultural Approaches to Reconciliation
New Canadians Centre
Many of our members come from all over the world, and supporting them in understanding Indigenous history, rights, and the importance of Reconciliation is sometimes a challenge. Mallory’s approach to the presentation, insightful delivery of innovative frameworks based on Indigenous knowledge and carefully facilitated engagement session allowed our team to feel safe asking uncomfortable questions that they'd been afraid to ask previously.
360 Insights Retreat - Hiawatha First Naton
Enhancing Workplace Diversity Using the Medicine Wheel
Mallory’s presentation, her personal stories illustrated throughout describing each framework , and our roundtable discussions facilitated in the form of sharing circles were truly impactful for the entire team. The teachings and the wisdom they carried were referenced throughout the rest of our team's time together during the in-person event and still is today.
Communicating with Indigenous Audiences
This workshop was eye-opening to how communicating with Indigenous audiences is completely different than any other demographic. I appreciated Mallory’s sincerity and authenticity in presenting to a diverse group of team members who all had varying backgrounds, ethnicities, and cultural understandings of working with Indigenous communities.
Many team members have approached me to share how valuable they felt the talk was, and how they wish to learn more and expand cultural understandings in such a safe and inclusive format.
